When an operator signs up for GoPedl, we collect business contact information such as name, company, email, and phone number. When a guest rents through the GoPedl app, we collect the information needed to complete the rental: name, contact details, payment information processed by our payment provider, and the signed waiver.

We also collect information about how the platform is used, such as reservations created, rentals started and ended, and device diagnostics from our smart locks.

We use this information to provide and maintain the GoPedl platform: processing rentals and payments, operating smart-lock access, supporting fleet management, communicating with operators and guests about their rentals, and improving the reliability of our hardware and software.

Guest rental information is shared with the operator the guest rents from. We share information with service providers who help us run the platform, such as payment processors and cloud hosting providers. We do not sell personal information.

Our smart locks record bike location during active rentals so operators can manage their fleets and recover missing bikes. Ride routes and return locations are shared with the operator who owns the bike. Guests are informed of this tracking in the app before a rental begins.

We retain rental records for as long as needed to serve the operator and meet legal requirements. Operators may request deletion of their account data, and guests may request deletion of their personal information, subject to records we are required to keep.

We use industry-standard measures to protect the information we hold, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular review of our systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we encourage you to contact us if you believe your information has been compromised.
